External Help For Internal Needs
If you get into a business setting and are unable to communicate your strategy, it could spell trouble. You run the same risk with employee satisfaction surveys. It's important to know why you're administering the survey, but it's just as important to be able to explain the process to the employees.
The best thing to do is to hire a third-party that specializes in employee surveys. If you decide to go this way, make sure you communicate the goals that you want the survey to accomplish. You might want to put it in writing so everyone will be on the same page before any of the surveys are handed out.
