If you are administering a survey outside to people on the street, be prepared. Make sure you have enough survey copies. Make sure you have a place to store all the finished surveys. Make sure you have something to write with, like the mini pencil. It works best in this situation. It's compact. So you can bring a ton of them wherever you go. Plus, they're cheap. So you can buy and bring a lot. Though don't be surprised if you don't get a lot of ‘em back. Just make sure you have a ton of refills on hand.
